Welcome to Exeter's Lincoln School and the 2017-2018 School Year! Lincoln School, located on the southeast side of Exeter, is a neighborhood school which serves approximately 650 students Preschool through fifth grade.
Administration and staff set high standards for behavior and academics and hold all students accountable. State and local standards drive the curriculum at each grade level. Teachers are providing instruction aligned to the standards and routinely assess student progress towards meeting these standards.
It is important to remember that the well-being of our students is directly related to their academic success. While our school places an emphasis on higher learning standards, it is important not to neglect the emotional and social needs of our students. To this end, we are in our fifth year of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). PBIS is a systems change process for the entire school. The underlying theme is teaching behavioral expectations in the same manner as any core curriculum subject. We hold monthly Lion Assemblies to recognize students for showing their personal best!
Communication is a key component to your child’s academic success. The partnership of parent, teacher, and student is critical in fostering progress and growth for our students. We hope that your child continues to experience a year of growth academically, socially, and emotionally. Our administration and teachers remain available to answer your questions or concerns. Please feel free to contact us.
Our CAASPP testing has started ! Our 3rd-5th Grade students are taking the state tests.
You can best support your child’s success during this time by making sure they get a good night sleep and eat a healthy breakfast. Please make sure your child comes to school on time. Encourage your child to do their best each day. If you need to schedule a doctor’s appointment or any other appointment for your child, please schedule them after school. They have been working so hard this year and it’s their time to shine.
