Fourth Grade
Welcome to 4th grade!
Here is a taste of what we learn about in 4th grade. Math curriculum will cover adding and subtracting using the standard algorithm. However, learning multiplication and division we will be learning other strategies, not using the standard algorithm. We then spend a good chunk of time working with fractions and decimals. Writing curriculum will be embedded with reading, along with learning different genres: Narrative, Informational and Opinion. Science Curriculum includes Energy, Sound, Earth’s processes, Animal and Human Body Functions. Lastly, history curriculum will cover California Mission, Pioneers and the California Gold Rush.
